British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams lived from 1872 – 1958. In commemoration of what would have been his 150th birthday, The Ralph Vaughan Williams Society plans on hosting multiple performances, recordings, and associated events. This year also marks the last major anniversary before his works go out of copyright.
For the celebration, titled "RVW150," the society hopes to connect with potential promoters, performers, publicists, media, and recording labels.
The anniversary provides an opportunity for a wide range of performances, both amateur and professional. Many of the UK’s regional concert societies and festivals are aiming to program works by Vaughan Williams, and the composer will feature in choral evensongs, exhibitions, and seminars.

Vaughan Williams' output contains nine symphonies, five operas, multiple song cycles, music for film, ballet, and the stage, plus church music and works for chorus and orchestra.
His most known works include "The Lark Ascending," "Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis," "English Folk Song Suite," and his Symphony No. 5.
