Tibor Varga Sion Valais Competition Prize Winners Announced - image attachment

20 year old Japanese violinist Sunao Goko has been awarded 1st prize at the 2013 Tibor Varga Sion Valais International Violin Competition, in Switzerland

2nd Prize was awarded to Liya Petrova from Bulgaria - and 3rd Prize to Eimi Wakui from Japan

A student of respected pedagogue Pavel Vernikov the Vienna Conservatory of Music, Sunao is a former 1st prize winner at the Menuhin Competition

He will receive CHF15,000 (USD $16,000)
