VC Rising Star Anne Luisa Kramb Awarded Prestigious New York City Carnegie Hall Debut
17 year old VC Rising Star Anne Luisa Kramb has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 2nd Manhattan International Music Competition, in New York
It has been announced today that 17 year old VC Rising Star Anne Luisa Kramb, from Germany, has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 2nd Manhattan International Music Competition, in New York.
A student of Antje Weithaas at the Kronberg Academy Pre-College Young Soloists programme, Anne Luisa is a former major prize winner at the Telemann, Bacewicz and Menuhin International Violin Competitions – and was awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Spohr International Violin Competition, in Weimar, Germany.
She will receive US$2,500, a recital debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall - plus an invitation to join the Manhattan Concert Artists' management roster.

2017 1st prizes were also awarded to pianist Alexey Melnikov and tenor Michele Angelini.
Previous Manhattan International Music Competition prize winners include violinists Erzhan Kulibaev, Amalia Hall and Kenneth Henshaw - and cellists Christoph Croise and VC Artist Benedict Kloeckner.
