Violinist Arnaud Sussmann Awarded Paris Orchestra Play/Direct Prize
The Orchestre de Chambre de Paris has today announced 31 year old French-born American violin virtuoso Arnaud Sussmann as the 1st prize recipient of the 2015 Paris 'Play/Direct Academy'.
A graduate of the Conservatoire de Paris and the Juilliard School, where he studied with Boris Garlitsky and Itzhak Perlman, Arnaud is a former recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant.
Awarded by a distinguished jury after a week of playing and directing masterclasses and training, with violinist Kolja Blacher, and a public performance with the ensemble, Arnaud will receive a prestigious invitation to play and direct a performance of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 in A Major with the orchestra on September 25th - at the Festival of Besancon.
This year's other invited international participants to the programme were violinists VC 'Young Artist' Fedor Rudin, Benjamin Baker and Kristine Balanas.
