Berlin's Artemis String Quartet Announces New Violinist (Not Violist!)

The Berlin-based Artemis String Quartet has today announced the appointment of new second violinist, Anthea Kreston.

Anthea will replace violinist Gregor Sigl, who will move to the ensemble’s viola position to replace long-term violist Friedemann Weigle - who passed away in July last year.

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Felix Galimir and Ida Kavafian, Anthea is a former member of the famed Avalon Quartet and the Amelia Piano Trio.
