Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) Conference Releases 2021 Schedule
This coming year's conference, entitled APAP|NYC+, will provide a platform for performing arts professionals to collaborate and connect on cultural, artistic, and professional issues
The 64th annual conference will take place online from January 8th to 12th, 2021.
Presentations will focus on relevant topics such as reopening protocols, systemic racism, the music industry's environmental impact, and equitable and ethical practices.
Highlights include Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, discussing “Public Health and Re-Opening the Live Performing Arts” on January 9th and cellist Yo-Yo Ma performing at the “Arts Advocacy Strategies and Practices: COVID and Beyond.”
"It’s been a really tough year for performing arts professionals, and we know many of our APAP members are hurting," APAP Board Member Lulani Arquette said. "APAP invites all of the field to come together at the conference and help shape the future of performing arts. Our organization was able to register five staff, a first for us, because of reduced registration rates. With us, for us, by us. Let’s do this together."
