Argentinian–American violinist and conductor Rubén D’Artagnan González has passed away - aged 79

Argentinian–American violinist and conductor Rubén D’Artagnan González has passed away - aged 79.

A student of Salomon Baron and Riccardo Brengola, he served as Concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from 1986 until 1996.

Throughout his four decade orchestral career, Mr González also served leadership positions with the Camerata Bariloche, Hamburg's North German Radio Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra and the Houston Symphony.
