English Conductor Christopher Hogwood Has Died After a Long Illness - Aged 73

English conductor, harpsichordist and musicologist Christopher Hogwood has passed away – aged 73.

A graduate of Cambridge University, Maestro Hogwood was the founder of the Academy of Ancient Music – a period instrument ensemble specialising in the performances of Baroque and early Classical music – and served during the 1980s and 1990s as Artistic Director of Boston's Handel and Haydn Society and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Our condolences are with his family, friends and colleagues.
