OUT NOW | Classic FM's New Music-Meets-True-Crime Podcast Series: 'Case Notes' [LISTEN]

Classic FM has announced the release of its new music-meets-true-crime podcast series - delving into the murky world of classical music's darkest mysteries

Classic FM, the UK's biggest classical music radio station, has this month announced the release of its new music-meets-true-crime podcast series, entitled Case Notes - delving into the murky world of classical music's darkest mysteries.

Narrated by Classic FM breakfast presenter Tim Lihoreau, the free podcast series explores a number of classical music's jaw-droppingly dark deeds - including the tale of Haydn's missing head and the 2010 theft of violinist Min Kym's stolen £1.2m Stradivarius violin, in London.

"Music history is packed with stories of gruesome crimes, murky mysteries and dark deeds ..." Classic FM's managing editor, Sam Jackson has told The Violin Channel.

"We wanted to create a podcast that had one foot in the classical music world and one foot in the true crime world ... something that hadn’t been done before ..." he has said.

"There are so many amazing, creepy and sometimes disturbing stories in the history of music ... and if we can introduce a few true crime fans to the symphonies of Haydn or the concertos of Mozart, even better."

Episodes 1, 2 and 3 available now for download, free of charge.
