Incredible 1935 archival recital of the then 27 year old David Oistrakh performing in the inaugural Wieniawski International Violin Competition, in Warsaw.
Oistrakh was awarded 2nd prize - with 1st prize famously presented to the then 16 year old Ginette Nevue.
Programme includes: Dvorak's 'Slavonic Dance No. 8', 'Schumann's 'Widmung', Townsend's 'Lullaby', Wolf's 'Verborgenheit' and Tchaikovsky's 'Meditation' - with collaborative pianist Vsievolod Topilin.
