Finalists Announced at Lithuania's 2021 Heifetz Violin Competition
The final round of this year's competition will be held on May 26 and 27 and streamed live on The Violin Channel
The 2021 International Jascha Heifetz Competition for Violinists announced its 6 final round candidates.
The six live finalists, to perform over two evenings with conductor Modestas Barkauskas, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, are:

The first two rounds of this year's competition were held virtually via online submission
The first prize winner of this year's competition will receive €10,000.
Qingzhu Weng from China was awarded this year's special prize for the best interpretation of Giedrius Kuprevičius' “The Strings and Fingers” in the virtual second round held in February.
The 2021 jury comprises Gidon Kremer, Isabelle Van Keulen, Sergej Krylov, Rūta Lipinaitytė, Svetlana Makarova, and Rusnė Mataitytė.
Previous major prize winners include VC Young Artists Dmytro Udovychenko and Rennosuke Fukuda.
