FLASHBACK FRIDAY | Nikolaj Znaider Performs Carl Nielsen's Violin Concerto, in 2014

Znaider performs Nielsen's violin concerto with coonductor Osmo Vänskä and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra

Composed in 1911, the concerto was originally written for Hungarian violinist, and Nielsen's son-in-law, Emil Telmányi.

Nikolaj Znaider currently serves as president of the Carl Nielsen International Competition.

Applications for the 2022 Carl Nielsen International Competition will close on 30 October. Open to violinists under the age of 30, the competition will take place in Odense, Denmark from April 1-10, 2022.
