Today is French violin virtuoso Olivier Charlier's 59th birthday

Today is French violin virtuoso Olivier Charlier's 59th birthday.

A student of Yehudi Menuhin and Henryk Szeryng, he is a former 1st prize winner at the Sibelius, Long-Thibaud and Georges Enescu International Violin Competitions - and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

Olivier has performed and recorded extensively - and currently holds a teaching position on faculty at the Paris Conservatoire.
