TUESDAY 12TH JANUARY 2021 AT 5PM EST

In addition to receiving $4,000, the winner will be the featured violinist at the 2022 Getting to Carnegie Competition at Carnegie Hall and at the 17th Water Island Music Festival in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

For the final round, each of the four finalists will perform one movement from Artistic Director, Julian Gargiulo's, newly-composed violin and piano sonata.

“I couldn’t imagine four more exciting and talented young violinists to give the World Premiere of my new Violin Sonata,” Julian said. “The great thing about the competition being 100 percent online is that more people than ever will be 'Getting to Carnegie' this year!”

First place will be decided by a vote. Fifty percent of the vote will come from the audience watching the live stream on the Violin Channel’s Facebook page, and the other fifty percent will come from a jury of professional musicians.
