Los Angeles Philharmonic Cancels Remainder of 2020 Concerts
The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced the cancellation of all performances through to December 31st, 2020 – due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic
The Los Angeles Philharmonic has this week announced the cancellation of all performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall through to December 31st, 2020 – due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Since canceling performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, the LA Phil is expected to lose in excess of $90 million in revenue.
"While this news may not be surprising given the events of the past few months, it is heartbreaking, nonetheless ... sharing in the communal experience of live music is at the heart of what we do, and we know it is a vital part of your life too," a spokesperson for the orchestra has this week said.
The orchestra has indicated that all 2020/21 subscription packages will be moved into the 2021/22 season.
