American violinist and composer Michelle Ross performing her own original, improvisational 'So Long, Jawn' for Solo Violin'.

The 9 minute piece is part of an ongoing series of live, stream of consciousness improvisations - inspired by the letters of early 20th Century author John Steinbeck.

A graduate of the Juilliard School and Columbia University, where she studied with Dorothy DeLay, Itzhak Perlman, Catherine Cho and Ronand Copes, Michelle is a recent recipient of a 'New Music USA' Grant - and is currently exploring the ongoing creation of improvisational multimedia and collaborative works.
