The National Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of violinist Ying Fu as its new Associate Concertmaster
The National Symphony Orchestra, in Washington D.C, has this week announced the appointment of violinist Ying Fu as its new Associate Concertmaster - effective from February 2019.
A graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory and Rice University's Shepherd School of Music and former 1st prize winner at the Lipizer International Violin Competition, Ying has served as Associate Concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra since 2013.
Violinists Hanna Lee, Jing Qiao and Benjamin Scott will also join the orchestra's violin section following recent auditions.
The announcements are Music Director Gianandrea Noseda's first appointments since 2016.
