10-year-old Natsuho Murata has been awarded 1st prize at the 2018 il Piccolo Violino Magico International Competition - in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy
10-year-old Natsuho Murata from Japan has today been awarded 1st prize at the 2018 il Piccolo Violino Magico International Competition, in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy.
A student at the Sannomaru Elementary School, in Mito, Japan, Natsuho is a former 1st prize winner at the All-Japan Student Music Competition.
Open to international violinists aged 9 to 13 years old, she will receive €5000 – plus a number of international performance opportunities.
2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded to 13 year old Bohdan Luts from Ukraine and 13 year old Shihan Wang from China.
Special prizes in the Semi-Final round were awarded to 13 year old Pauline Van Der Rest from Belgium and 13 year old Fiechter Benedetta from Italy.
The 2018 jury comprised: Pavel Vernikov (President), Viera Fischer, Susanne Gessner, Ruta Lipinaityte, Corrado Bolsi, Sergej Krylov, and Vilmos Szabadi.
