Opening Round Candidates Announced at 2021 Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition
Open to violinists between ages 15-26, the competition will take place in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, from November 22-26, 2021
This year's opening round candidates are as follows:

- Maria Lundina (Russia)
- Grigory Miroshnik (Russia)
- Ivan Naborshchikov (Russia)
- Yulia Smirnova (Germany)
- Jaewon Wee (South Korea)
- Maria Kacharina (Russia)
- Arsenia Sibileva (Russia)
Created in honor of Russian conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov, the first prize winner will be awarded an Italian violin made by Giuseppe Pedrazzini (Milan, 1918).
This year's jury comprises Mikhail Samuilovitch Kopelman (Chairman), Vladimir Spivakov, Boris Kuschnir, Tong Weidong, and Joji Hattori.
Previous prizewinners include VC Young Artists Daniel Lozakovich and María Dueñas.
