The Orchestre de Chambre Lausanne, in Lausanne, Switzerland, has this week announced the appointment of French violinist Renaud Capuçon as its new Artistic Director - effective from the commencement of the 2021-2022 season.
Renaud will succeed conductor Joshua Weilerstein in the role - who will step down from the position in Summer 2021.
“It is both an honour and a great pleasure to be chosen as Artistic Director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne ..." Renaud has today said.
"I have always admired this orchestra and I am looking forward to seeing the musicians again to start a new chapter together in our music-making,” he has said.
“The partnership between the OCL and Renaud Capuçon promises an artistic collaboration of the highest level,” Orchestra Board President Alexandre Curchod has today said.
