Aparté Records has this month announced the release of the French-based Metral Trio's new album: Mendelssohn Piano Trios.

The disc features Felix Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 1 Op. 49 and Piano Trio No. 2 Op. 66.

''We have always loved Mendelssohn's trios ... and always felt that he made every effort with these works to ensure the instruments sing at their absolute best ..." violinist Joseph Metral has told The Violin Channel.
