The Pixar animated film "Soul" followed a middle school music teacher who aspired to be a performing jazz musician. Available to watch on Disney+, the film was also nominated for the Golden Globe's Best Animated Feature award.

The movie's score won over fellow nominees "Mank," "News of the World," "Tenet," and "The Midnight Sky."

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross also worked on the score of "Mank," the biographical film about American screenwriter Herman J Mankiewicz.
