VC Artist Igor Pikazen Performs Glazunov and Tchaikovsky in New Album
Released on Warner Music Korea, the album features Pikazen performing with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Gian Paolo Peloso
On his latest album VC Artist Igor Pikazen performs Alexander Glazunov’s Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 82, and Tchaikovsky’s Valse-Scherzo Op. 34, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Gian Paolo Peloso.
Hailing from Russia, Igor has played solo with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Radio Symphony, Bucharest Philharmonic, Sinfonietta Veracruzana, Filharmonica di Bacau, Bialystok Philharmonic, and many more.
His upcoming and recent appearances include debuts and re-engagements with Sinfonia Toronto, Filarmonica de Boca del Rio, Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico, Istanbul Symphony, Sinfonica Nacional de Chile, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfonica de Xalapa, National Symphony of Georgia, and the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra.
Igor’s new album with Warner Music Korea was produced by Michael Fine, and engineered by Jin Choi.

The grandson of the famed Soviet violinist Viktor Pikayzen, Igor is a graduate of The Juilliard School, the Yale School of Music, and the CUNY Graduate Center.
Among his accolades include first prize at the 2015 International Violin Competition Luis Sigall in Viña del Mar, and the Wronski International Violin Competition. Additionally, he was a silver medalist at the Szeryng and Kloster-Schöntal international violin competitions.
He has served on the faculty of Brooklyn Conservatory, and in 2019, was announced as Professor of Violin at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. Igor is also the founder of the annual summer music festival, Edelio.
