The London-based Marmen String Quartet has in recent seasons established themselves as one of the most promising young chamber music ensembles to emerge internationally.
Comprising violinists Johannes Marmen and Ricky Gore, violist Bryony Gibson-Cornish and cellist Steffan Morris, the Marmen Quartet are a former 1st prize winner at the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition – and in September of last year were awarded 1st prize at the prestigious 2019 Banff International String Quartet Competition, in Banff, Canada.
The quartet currently holds the Guildhall School of Music String Quartet Fellowship - whilst currently completing a Master of Chamber Music degree at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover.
