We're coming to you from Boston this afternoon for a special Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts concert with violinist VC Artist Angelo Xiang Yu and pianist Feng Niu.
From Inner Mongolia China, Yu originally studied at the Shanghai Conservatory. He later earned his Bachelor’s, Master's degrees, and Artist Diploma at the New England Conservatory of Music where he was a student of Donald Weilerstein and Miriam Fried.
Yu was a recipient of the 2019 Avery Fisher Career Grant and 2019 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award, as well as a First Prize winner in the 2010 Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition. In 2020, he was the newest member to join the Shanghai Quartet.
