VC YOUNG ARTIST | Jonathan Swensen, 24 — "Exciting to Hear Such Talent"

24-year-old Danish cellist, Jonathan Swensen, is building an international following as a young virtuoso of exceptional skill and musicality

A current student of Laurence Lesser at the New England Conservatory of Music, and graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Music and Norwegian Academy of Music, Jonathan is a former 1st prize winner at the Khachaturian International Cello Competition, Windsor International String Competition, and Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

He is also a recipient of the Jacob Gades Scholarship and Léonie Sonning Talent Prize.

Jonathan has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Copenhagen Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, Sun Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra.

Jonathan is currently being represented by YCA for North American Management and Victoria Rowsell Artists for Worldwide Management.
