Happy Birthday, VC Artist Diana Adamyan!
The violinist has won multiple competitions and performed around the world
A graduate of the Tchaikovsky School of Music where she studied with Petros Haykazyan, Diana is a current student of Ana Chumachenco at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts.
After winning First Prize at the 2018 Yehudi Menuhin International Competition, she went on to receive First Prize in the 2020 Khachaturian Violin Competition. She is a former major prize winner at the Bogdanyan International Violin Competition and the Tchaikovsky Youth Competition.
Her success in competitions has resulted in numerous performances throughout Europe and Japan. In 2022, she debuted in Boston as the featured soloist performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor during the 69th Annual Armenian Night at the POPS.
Following an invitation from Pinchas Zukerman to participate under his guidance in summer masterclasses of the Ottawa National Arts Center, Diana was invited to appear as a soloist in a Gala Concert of NAC, alongside Zukerman, Itzhak Perlman, Jessica Linnebach, and others.
She also appeared alongside Zukerman playing the Bach Double Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic at Cadogan Hall in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
She currently performs on an instrument made by Nicolò Gagliano in 1760, generously on loan from the Henri Moerel Foundation.
