17-year-old Russian-British violinist Katya Tsukanova has died in London - from a suspected accidental recreational drug overdose
It has been reported today that 17-year-old Russian-British violinist Katya Tsukanova has died in London - from a suspected accidental recreational drug overdose.
A student at the Wycombe Abbey, the Royal College of Music Pre-College program and the Zakhar Bron Academy, it is understood that Katya was found unconscious in her home on Thursday evening with a lethal cocktail of Cocaine and Ketamine in her system - following a party with friends.
She was immediately rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Friends of the teenager have told local media the ‘Calvin Klein’ drug, a combination of Cocaine and the dissociative anesthetic drug Ketamine, has recently been sweeping the London nightlife scene.
Katya was awarded the 'Best Young Musician Award' at the 2018 Suoni dal Golfo Music Festival in Lerici, Italy - and just three days prior to her death had given a performance at London's Royal Opera House.
Investigators are working to determine her exact cause of death.
A concert in Katya's memory will be held on the 11th of August at this year's Suoni dal Golfo Festival.
