ON THIS DAY | Happy Birthday, Kyung Wha Chung!

A student of Ivan Galamian and Joseph Szigeti, Ms Chung is widely regarded as one of the 20th century's pre-eminent concert violinists

Today is Korean violinist Kyung Wha Chung's 73rd birthday.

Her fame in the 1970s and 80s ranks her alongside Itzhak Perlman and Pinchas Zukerman. Ms. Chung currently performs internationally and holds a teaching position on faculty at The Juilliard School.
