The Czech Philharmonic has announced the appointment of 26-year-old Czech violinist Olga Šroubková as its new Concertmaster
The Czech Philharmonic, in Prague, has today announced the appointment of 26-year-old Czech violinist Olga Šroubková as its new Concertmaster.
A graduate of the Prague Conservatory and the Hannover University of Music, Olga is a former major prize winner at the Kloster Schöntal, Lipizer, Michael Hill and Shanghai Isaac Stern and Prague Spring International Violin Competitions.

She will share the role with violinists Jiří Vodička and Jan Mráček.
Olga is the first woman in history to be appointed to the orchestra’s leadership role.
