Violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja Awarded 2017 Swiss Grand Prix Music Prize

Moldovian-born Austrian violin virtuoso Patricia Kopatchinskaja is one of 15 recipients of the 2017 Swiss Grand Prix Music Prizes

It has been announced today that Moldovian-born Austrian violin virtuoso Patricia Kopatchinskaja is one of 15 recipients of the 2017 Swiss Grand Prix Music Prizes - in recognition for her contributions in all musical genres.

Awarded annually by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, each recipient will receive 25,000 Swiss francs.

Other 2017 winners include violinist and composer Helena Winkelman, flutist Andres Bosshard, drummer Jojo Mayer - and composers Helena Winkelman, Peter Scherer and Jürg Wyttenbach.
