“It is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to Aaron ...” Curtis Institute President Roberto Díaz has said.

“He is one of the truly great violinists and teachers of the 20th century, and Curtis has been honored to benefit from his wisdom, expertise, and generosity for over three decades ... the legacy he leaves behind is unmatched,” he has said.

Vocal Professor Mikael Eliasen will also retire from the school's vocal teaching faculty at the conclusion of the current semester.

Mr Rosand was awarded an honorary doctorate from the school on the 11th of May this year - in recognition of his services.

He will join the Emeritus faculty at the conclusion of the current school year - working with select Curtis Institute students, on occasion.
