American violinist Noah Bendix-Balgley has established himself as one of the most talented and accomplished instrumentalists to emerge internationally as a highly sought after orchestra leader, chamber musician and soloist

A graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and Munich Hochschule für Musik und Theater, where he studied with Mauricio Fuks, Christoph Poppen and Ana Chumachenco, he is a former top prize winner at the Queen Elisabeth, Long-Thibaud and Postacchini International Violin Competitions.

As one of the world's top orchestral players, Noah is first concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic and was formerly concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, he performs in a trio with pianist Robert Levin and cellist Peter Wiley, the multi-genre Philharmonix ensemble and member of the Rosamunde String Quartet (with members of the New York Philharmonic and Los Angeles Philharmonic).

Recent solo engagements include performances with the Berlin Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre National de Belgique, the Utah Symphony, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the Auckland Philharmonia, the Nagoya Philharmonic and Apollo’s Fire Orchestra.

Noah plays on a 1732 Carlo Bergonzi violin.
