Tabea Zimmermann Returns to KünstlerSekretariat am Gasteig for Management
The violist will now be represented by Director Elisabeth Ehlers and Associate Artist Manager Felicitas Wittekindt
German violist Tabea Zimmermann will be joining artists such as violinists Ray Chen, Julia Fischer, María Dueñas, and pianist Lang Lang on the KünstlerSekretariat am Gasteig roster.
"The entire team warmly welcomes Tabea Zimmermann to the KünstlerSekretariat am Gasteig," the release reads. "We look forward to continuing to work with you, now again for Tabea Zimmermann."
One of the world's foremost violists, Zimmermann has been artist-in-residence at the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Royal Concertebouw Orchestra, and regularly appears as a soloist with prominent orchestras across the globe.
In addition to her celebrated concerts, she has always dedicated herself to her students as a professor - after 20 years at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, she has returned to the Frankfurt Academy of Music.
She is a recipient of the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Fondation Hindemith and, most recently, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation as successor to Peter Ruzicka.
She is the dedicatee of numerous works, including Ligeti's Sonata for Solo Viola, and has made more than 50 recordings — including a complete cycle of Hindemith's works for viola, released on myrios classics in 2013.
