LA Philharmonic Audiences Required to Show Proof of Vaccination
Evidence of full vaccination will be required for all patrons, staff, and artists working at the performances, effective as of October 9, 2021
Two weeks after the final dose of the vaccine must pass before attending any performances.
According to The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, face masks must be worn at all times and inside Walt Disney Concert Hall, regardless of vaccination status. Masks will also be available upon request.
It is recommended that masks worn are designed with two or more layers. Masks with exhalation valves; masks made of loosely woven fabrics; scarves, buffs, bandanas, gaiters, and face shields alone, will not be permitted.
Alongside their ticket, concertgoers will need to show photo ID and either their physical vaccination card, a picture of their vaccination card, or a digital vaccination record. Children aged 12 and under will not be allowed entry since they are not yet eligible for vaccination.
As no children will be in attendance, LA Phil chose to cancel their fall Toyota Symphony for Youth concerts, including “The Composer is Dead” and “Ellington’s Nutcracker,” previously scheduled near the end of this year.
For attendees who will not be fully vaccinated by the date of their planned visit, their tickets can be returned for a credit on their account or a full refund can be requested.
The planned events will run with enhanced cleaning measures in place, hand sanitation stations, improved indoor air quality, and a reduced contact experience.
