The 3 Finalists have been announced at the 2019 Markneukirchen International Cello Competition

The 3 Finalists have today been announced at the 2019 Markneukirchen International Cello Competition – in Markneukirchen, Germany.

The 2019 Finalists are:

YeongKwang Lee (23, South Korea)
Daniel Thorell (21, Sweden)
Friedrich Thiele (22, Germany)

Open to international cellists aged 30 years and younger, the 1st prize winner will receive €7,000 – plus a number of important performance opportunities.

The 2019 jury comprises: Maria Kliegel (Chair), Yi-Bing Chu, Danjulo Ishizaka, Zdzisław Łapiński, Csaba Onczay and Marko Ylönen.
