San Francisco Symphony Announce New Resident Conductor

The San Francisco Symphony has today announced 26 year old German conductor, Christian Reif as their new Resident Conductor - effective from September this year.
A graduate of the Juilliard School and the Mozarteum Salzburg, Christian currently serves as a Conducting Fellow with the New World Symphony, in Miami.
As part of the role, he will assist Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas and various Guest conductors - and will also lead the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Christian will succeed Donato Cabrera - who will step down from the position at the end of this season after seven years in the job.
