Singapore International Violin Competition Announces Finalists
The SIVC Finals will take place from December 11-12
Held at Singapore's Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, the Singapore International Violin Competition today announced its finalists.
They are:

This year's jury comprises Qian Zhou (Chair), Martin Beaver, Martin T:son Engstroem, Lee Kyung Sun, Mihaela Martin, Joel Smirnoff, and Tsu Vera Weiling.
During the final, candidates will play a complete piano quartet by Mozart with SIVC guest artists Albert Tiu (piano), Miguel da Silva (viola), and Wang Zihao (cello).
Over USD $110,000 in prizes will be awarded, along with concert engagements, and a 3-year fine violin loans from the Rin Collection for the top 6 winners.
The prizes include:
First Prize: USD 50,000
Second Prize: USD 25,000
Third Prize: USD 15,000
Fourth Prize: USD 6,000
Fifth Prize: USD 5,000
Sixth Prize: USD 4,000
The fine violins on loan for three years, provided by the Rin Collection, are:

All SIVC live rounds are open to the public to attend. Previous major prize winners include VC Artists Yu-Chien Benny Tseng, Richard Lin, and Fedor Rudin.
