Canadian Violist and Artist Manager Stanley Solomon Has Died - Aged 97
Legendary Canadian violist and artist manager Stanley Solomon has passed away – aged 97.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where he studied with violists Max Aronoff, Louis Bailly and Oscar Shumsky, Mr Solomon served as Principal Violist of the Toronto Philharmonic from 1949 to 83 and as Principal Emeritus until his retirement in 1988.
His agency, Stanley Solomon Concert Artists Management represented such Canadian artists as Howell Glynne, Hyman and Erica Goodman, Sheila Henig,Daryl Irvine, Mary Simmons, Steven Staryk, and David Zafer.
