Tianjin Juilliard Announces Partnership with Asian Youth Orchestra
The partnership will promote orchestral training and provide professional development opportunities for students
The Tianjin Juilliard School and the Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) have conceived of several artistic exchange programs. In the summer of 2024, the AYO will hold its summer festival and camp at Tianjin Juilliard's campus, and players will have the opportunity to undertake masterclasses with Tianjin Juilliard staff.
Tianjin Juilliard will also be the first stop on the AYO's 12-city tour, before they depart for Hong Kong, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Chiayi, Taipei, Yokohama, and Tokyo.
In 2024, the AYO will be led by principal conductor Joseph Bastian and principal guest conductor Jader Bignamini, and will present works by Ravel, Debussy, Gershwin, Bernstein, Respighi, and Mussorgsky.
