VC Artist Francisco Fullana's New Album, "Spanish Light"
Released on Orchid Classics, the new album features Alba Ventura on piano alongside the VC Artist
Violinist Francisco Fullana's newest album, "Spanish Light," features virtuosic pieces by Pablo de Sarasate, as well as the evocative ‘Sonata Española’ by Joaquín Turina.
Recorded with pianist Alba Ventura, the release also features works by several composers from the Catalan region: Enrique Granados, Eduardo Toldrà, and Joan Manén — all of whom subtly combine characteristic Catalan folk styles with harmonic influences from France.
"This album is a love letter to my homeland in Mallorca and features many pieces I grew up playing and listening to," Fullana wrote on Facebook. "Thank you Alba for going on this adventure with me and Orchid Classics for their trust and support of this personal project of mine."
