VC Artist Timothy Ridout Awarded Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship Bursary
VC Artist Timothy Ridout has been announced as 1 of 4 recipients of a prestigious 2020 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship
24-year-old British violist, VC Artist Timothy Ridout has today been announced as 1 of 4 recipients of a prestigious 2020 £20,000 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship.
The Borletti-Buitoni Trust, a registered United Kingdom charity, aims to assist outstanding young musicians and ensembles develop and sustain long-term international careers – providing bursaries, career advice, guidance, contacts and valuable public relations exposure.
A graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music and the Kronberg Academy where he studied with Martin Outram and Nobuko Imai, Timothy is a former 1st prize winner at the Lionel Tertis and Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competitions.

2020 £20,000 Fellowships were also awarded to the Amsterdam-based Amatis Trio, Italian percussionist Simone Rubino - and the Paris-based Trio Sōra.
2020 £30,000 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Awards were presented to the Frankfurt-based Aris Quartet, Italian pianist Filippo Gorini and American violinist Alexi Kenney.
Previous recipients include VC Artists Augustin Hadelich, Alexandra Conunova, Tessa Lark, Benjamin Beilman, Itamar Zorman and the Danish and Calidore String Quartets.
