Brazilian Bassist Sergio Brandão has Died, Age 65

Known as the "Brazilian Jaco," the Brazilian Bassist died after suffering cardiac arrest
A well-respected figure in the music industry, Brandão created hundreds of recordings over the last 40 years. He collaborated with celebrated artists including Harry Belafonte, Herbie Mann, Randy Brecker, Sérgio Mendes, Bebel Gilberto, John Legend, and others.
Since moving to New York in 1978, Brandão actively promoted Brazilian music throughout his career. He performed for United States President Bill Clinton, Brazilian President Michel Temer, and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
