We're coming to you LIVE from Lyon, France, for the 19th Lyon International Chamber Music Competition. This year, 7 quartets will compete live in public performances for the jury.
In 2024, the CIMCL jury will comprise Marie Chilemme (Quatuor Ebène), Mihaela Martin (Quatuor Michelangelo), Goran Konçar (Quatuor de Zabreb), Kyril Zlotnikov (Quatuor de Jérusalem), and Niklas Schmidt (Fine Arts Quartet and Trio Fontenay).
The competition's prize pool will total €25,000, as well as a range of career development opportunities — including masterclasses, concert appearances, and attendance at the Villecroze music academy.
The seven quartets competing this year are:
