The Violin Channel recently caught up with respected American violinist and former long-term Eastman School of Music violin pedagogue, Mr Charles Castleman.
We sat him down for a fun game of VC 20 Questions - to help gain some fascinating insight into the man behind the music.
A student of Ivan Galamian, Josef Gingold, Henryk Szeryng and David Oistrakh, Professor Castleman is a former prize winner at the Queen Elisabeth and Tchaikovsky International Violin Competitions – and throughout his career has served long term teaching positions on faculty at the Eastman School of Music and the University of Miami's Frost School of Music
