Uruguayan conductor and composer Federico Garcia Vigil has passed away - aged 79

Uruguayan conductor and composer Federico Garcia Vigil has passed away - aged 79.

Mr Vigil served as long time Music Director of the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra, in Uruguay - and held a teaching position on faculty at the Montevideo University of Music.

Our condolences are with Mr Vigil's family, friends, collegaues and students.
