Violinist and Teacher Camilla Wicks Has Died, Aged 92

A student of legendary violinist Louis Persinger, she is one of the first female violinists to establish a major solo career

Born in California, she made her debut with the New York Philharmonic at the age of 13.

She was a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory, Louisiana State University, University of Michigan, and Rice University. Her former students include Henning Kraggerud.
