Violinist Koh Gabriel Kameda Appointed to Germany's Münster University Teaching Faculty
German-Japanese violin virtuoso Koh Gabriel Kameda will join the teaching faculty of the Münster University of Music - in Münster, Germany
It has been announced this week that German-Japanese violin virtuoso Koh Gabriel Kameda will join the violin teaching faculty of the Münster University of Music, in Münster, Germany - effective from January 2019.
A graduate of the Karlsruhe University of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Josef Rissin and Pinchas Zukerman, Koh currently serves a teaching Professorship on faculty at the Detmold University of Music.
He will replace the position vacated by the retirement of Professor Hlege Slaatto.
"We are very much looking forward to working with Prof. Kameda ... our students will benefit to the maximum from his expertise and the profile of the Musikhochschule Münster in the field of violin will be sharpened by Prof. Kameda," University Dean, Professor Keller has said.
