American Charity YoungArts Announces 2023 Winners

The competition awards between $100 and $10,000 to hundreds of young artists across multiple disciplines

 

Based in Miami, Florida, YoungArts is an American charity established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison to help nurture emerging high-school artists.

YoungArts recently announced the winners of its National Competition for 2023. The awards are given in three tiers: Merit ($100 prize), Honorable Mention ($250 prize), and Finalists (anywhere between $1,000 and $10,000, depending on quality).

The Finalists in Classical Music are as follows:

  • Preston Atkins (bassoon)
  • Hannah Cho (oboe)
  • Daniel Colaner (organ)
  • Nikka Gershman-Pepper (flute)
  • Iris Hur (viola)
  • Amy Jong (cello)
  • Evelyn Joung (cello)
  • Jackson Kaiser (composition)
  • Joel Kim (cello)
  • Mira Kim (clarinet)
  • Yuri Lee (composition)
  • Elena Medic (flute)
  • Christopher Shin (piano)
  • Ezekiel Solokoff (violin)
  • Moshi Tang (violin)
  • Laurentia Woo (violin)
  • Christian Yom (composition)
  • Nathaniel Zhang (piano)
  • Harmony Zhu (piano)
  • Aja Zou (piano)
