THROWBACK THURSDAY | VC Artist Paul Huang Performs Debussy's Beau Soir in 2012

Watch the Taiwanese-American violinist make his New York recital debut in the 52nd Young Concert Artists Series

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Paul is a former first prize winner at the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition — and was awarded a prestigious 2015 Avery Fisher Career Grant and 2017 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists. He was the First Prize Winner of the 2011 Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

Paul has collaborated with chamber musicians including Gil Shaham, Nobuko Imai, Mischa Maisky, Lynn Harrell, Yefim Bronfman, and Marc-André Hamelin.

He currently performs on the 1742 Ex-Wieniawski Guarneri del Gesu — on generous loan from Chicago's Stradivarius Society.

This week, Paul is being featured as the VC Artist of the Week.
